I needed to do this because all of my clothes/shoes/stuff was in the closet in my daughter's room. They need the closet in their room and it was just time to make the move.
I had major help from my 11 year old neighbor Emma. Without her, I wouldn't have finished. She's the coolest 11 year old that I know!
Here's a breakdown of the weekend's events...
Saturday:
- garage sale with Lexi
- donate everything else to Goodwill - glad to see the rest of my stuff go - less clutter/tax deduction
- begin the chore of revamping the attic - this took the rest of the day
- realize that I need a cleaning person
- BBQ Chicken event at Lindsay VFD - benefit for Nate Fought's family (awesome chicken btw...)
- Lowes - get closet organizing things
- Kroger - needed some groceries
- organize my sewing area, get rid of unused fabric
- make homemade macaroni and cheese (I failed to take a pic, but I'll post my recipe later)
- visit with my in-laws
- realize that I need a cleaning person (again)
Next project: Turn a corner of my basement into Jim's gaming area.
That just made me think. His space will be way down in the basement and mine is in the attic...kinda makes me giggle.
*NOTE: the attic is an unfinished space - meaning no drywall or anything like that, but I think I did pretty good. The carpet remnants did a good job! I still need to make some curtains but I'm close!
