Quartermania

My mother-in-law and I, along with miss Paige went to a School of Hope fundraiser this evening. I had never been to a quartermania. Let me explain what it is... You first buy a paddle or 2 or 3 or however many you want. (all of the paddles are numbered) You bring quarters or buy some at the event. The mc will announce the item that you can bid on.. In this example, I'll say it's a candle. The mc will say the candle is a bid of 2 quarters. So if you want to bid on the candle, you will have to put in 2 quarters per paddle that you want to use on that particular item. If the mc calls your number, you win (if you put in your quarters)...

I did win some Jamberry nail stuff. I would have won a big basket of stuff had I placed a bid with my paddle #310... Grrrr, I'm still fried about that one. Oh well, it was fun and for a good cause. Better luck next time.
